Tomorrow it's back to London living after spending the past three weeks in NY--where I interviewed Charlotte Gainsbourg, stocked up on cheap beauty prods, DJ'd the Valentine's Special of Le One Night Stand, and partied with my BUST ladies. Oh yes, and I did splurge on a trip to the Carlyle Hotel to watch Woody Allen (my hero) play the clarinet with his New Orleans jazz band. I was hoping a Grammy award (One Kiss Can Lead to Another: Girl Groups Sounds, Lost & Found was nominated for Best Historical Album & Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package) might top off the trip, but Blacks And The Birth Of The Recording Industry 1891-1922 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers robbed us. You bastards! Anyway, I can't complain too much cos instead of a Grammy I got an offer to tour Japan with girl-duo Kiiiiiii!!!! (To understand why this is so exciting, click here) I'll be DJing, playing Flying V guitar, and sharing vocals with Utako. Oh. My. God. I really can' imagine anything more thrilling. Tour kicks off in mid-July. I'll keep you posted.
