It's 11:30 pm and there are about 800 people on the roof of my building. Normally I'd be up there right now, but the DJ is playing this awful latin-house that no one seems to be enjoying. So while I wait for the next good song, I thought I'd upload some photos from tonite's party- a mega July fourth celebration complete with the best view of the Manhattan fireworks.

Off topic but, I wake up every morning to Stevie Nicks' "Stand Back." Greatest lyrics set to greatest rhythm: "First he took my heart then he ran."

Saw Louis Malle's debut film last night- Elevator To The Gallows (1957). Jeanne Moreau's not my favorite actress, but the story's brill. Trailers for Elevator To The Gallows included Wong Kar Wai's 2046 (I can't wait any longer!) and Pretty Persuasion (Lolita for 2005).
