The Cha Cha Charming/ Spectropop party is tonight, and there's a severe rainstorm warning for the New York City area. Just my luck! I spent all night drinking and listening to records with Keiko (from Tokyo), David (from Seattle), Elisa (from Manchester), Phil (from London), and Teddy. They flew all this way for the party!

I haven't even decided which records I'll be playing tonight, and there's lots of work to do on this site before I launch it later today. I'm 100% stressed and frazzled- but isn't that always what it's like before a big event?

Totally off topic, but the photo you see above was taken two weeks ago when I traveled to Oslo, Norway to interview Surferosa, my absolute favorite group at the moment. They were all really friendly, and totally seemed like the kind of band you wanna get drunk with. I had the chance, but I was so exhausted from 3 weeks of traveling around Europe that I passed out cold in my hotel room and barely woke up in time to catch my early flight back to NY.
